Homeopathy is a system of medicine in which the main principle is treating the patient as a whole, not only the disease alone or in any particular part of the body. The theory behind is that a man become ill if his body react to a particular stimuli, each person react to a particular stimuli in a different way (for example all persons who get wet in rain never suffer from fever) so a person is becoming ill when his life powering force - THE VITAL FORCE is deranged which causes the manifestation of different symptoms in a patient as a whole is becoming the sick, not a particular part or organ of his body, so its important to treat the patient as whole.
As per homeopathic principles no two individuals are alike (for example; persons who are exposed to rain may not suffer from fever alone, same way get fever, few may suffer from rhinitis, few from bronchitis, etc) this shows every individual is different and so medicine for each individual is also different. Here Homeopathy is taking helps in differentiating each individual.
Homeopathic case taking is a process of attaining the details of a persons ranging from his complaints, past history, family history, his basic nature behaviour, likes and dislikes, daily routine, habits, etc..
The basic law of prescription in homeopathy is ‘The law of Similars’ (ie) “Similia Similibus Curentur” in simple words it means matching the symptoms obtained from the patient with medicinal symptoms and prescribing in appropriate potency. Homeopathic medicines are free of side effects because the medicinal substances are diluted many times in a particular way and potential which transfers the medicinal curative power to the vehicles such as specified spirit or sugar of milk making the medicine more dynamic in its action, minute of medicine is enough to stimulate the vital strength (Internal life force The vital force) of an individual which will cure the disease.
